Day #20: How I’m promoting my websites without SEO?
More and more are getting harder to get organic traffic to our websites without ads or a perfect SEO implementation.
More and more are getting harder to get organic traffic to our websites without ads or a perfect SEO implementation. In my case, not relying on SEO to get traffic was not an option, but just a reality. I launched a few websites a few weeks ago and they do not have good traffic based on the organic traffic. For that reason, I tried to do different approaches to increase the organic traffic to my websites. I will show you now what were my approaches and the results I got based on those actions.
If you also had this problem, what have you done to grow your traffic without a good SEO performance?
Context/Micro startups
For context (and if you didn’t read my previous post), here are the websites I’m trying to promote:
Remote-Work.app — Website for remote jobs;
SideHustlify.com — Website for a community of side hustlers to share side hustle ideas and promote their own side hustles;
AIProductHub.com — Website to list new AI Products from our community of AI Products makers;
FootballTips.app — Website that gives daily bet tips for football matches;
Those are for now my current main products that I’m trying to promote and grow their traffic.
Here are my approaches to then increase their traffic:
1. Reddit Community
Basically, I’m trying to grow my own community, so one of the ways to get traffic could be to create a community related to my products in the best community online app, that is Reddit. Basically, I created a few subreddits there and started to promote my links on my own Reddit community. Here are my subreddits and their current :
r/sidehustlify — 213 members atm;
r/remoteworkapp — 42 members atm;
r/aiproduct — 69 members atm;
Those are my current stats, and mostly on SideHustlify is getting really interesting traffic.
On the above chart, we can see a growth of 990% in one particular day, that was the day when I was more active in promoting my posts on Reddit. Then, it decreased considerably because I stopped doing that promotion to understand the organic behavior after I post something on Reddit. You may think “Well, but this requires some time to keep active on Reddit to regularly publish those posts”, but actually it’s possible to automatize those publications. For instance, I could implement an automation bot to publish the most popular posts on my platform on Reddit, to start generating more traffic to my platform.
The most important for now was to understand the expected results if I start to post on Reddit, and as we could see, it can generate considerable traffic.
2. Promote your website in your competitor/similar platforms
The AIProductHub website was inspired by ProductHunt.com, but focuses on AI Products. Basically, the users that promote their products on Product Hunt, what they are looking for is to get more traffic for their platforms. So, what I do is search for some AI products on Product Hunt and also publish them on my platform AIProductHub.com and I also drop a comment there to let the maker know that his product was also published on AIProductHub.com. In this way, the user will be happy to have their product published on my platform and could also call other makers to start promoting on AIProductHub when they build an AI product.
3. Social Networks
The other approach was to start promoting my websites on TikTok, Instagram, and Youtube Shorts. So, I created an account for each website on those social networks, and I started to create content to redirect the followers on those social networks and redirected them to my websites.
Also, on Facebook, I joined some groups related to my websites niche markets (for instance, side hustle groups) to share my links and their users are feeling interested in the posts that I’m sharing there.
What is your strategy to grow your traffic without a good SEO performance?
